Floor tom rattle.

It totally makes a rattling noise and i hate it. We have sm57 s on all the toms and the snare. Not a buzzing but it s really odd. Anyone have any ideas what this is or if this is normal.

When placing mics and setting levels the other day i noticed a rattle and after hunting found it came from 2 of the sm57 s. How can i fix this. I just setup my vad503 and it s great. I will definitely buy a couple more one to go between my mounted toms to keep the occasional rattle away i keep them really close.

2 people found this helpful. Is my floor tom not tuned right on my drums. The snare doesn t make this sound. However the 14 floor tom has an odd rattle from the head when played.
